Site Crawl & Sitemap Test

Crawls up to 25 pages of your site, checks your sitemap against search-bot best practices, and flags broken links, broken images, and missing ALT text.

Checks up to 25 pages. Larger sites will only have their most reachable pages crawled.

docs

The tool checks your robots.txt, finds your sitemap, and crawls up to 25 pages starting from your homepage, following real internal links the way a visitor or search bot would.

sports_score

You will receive: broken internal and external links, redirects worth updating, broken images, missing ALT text, and sitemap best-practice issues.

warning

Pages that return a 401, 403, 429, or 500-level response are flagged separately, since these can mean the crawler was blocked rather than the link being genuinely broken.

Your sitemap is also cross-referenced against what the crawl actually reached, so you can see pages listed in your sitemap that aren't linked from the pages we crawled, and pages we found that aren't in your sitemap at all.

Why Run a Site Crawl Test ?
warning

Broken links and images quietly erode both user trust and search engine confidence in your site, and they're easy to miss once a site grows past a handful of pages.

library_books

A sitemap listing pages that 404, redirect, or are blocked by robots.txt sends mixed signals to Google and Bing, and can waste the crawl budget they allocate to your site.

do_not_touch

Missing ALT text affects accessibility for visitors using screen readers, and is also a missed opportunity for image search visibility.

check_circle_unread

Running this check periodically, especially after a redesign, plugin change, or content migration, catches issues before they cost you traffic.

This tool checks up to 25 pages per run, focused on the pages closest to your homepage in link depth, the ones most visitors and search bots reach first. For larger sites, this is a representative sample rather than full-site coverage.
